David
Campbell GRSM, LRAM, ARCM – Concerto
Class – has had a long, varied and international career as
a solo, chamber and orchestral clarinettist. He has performed in over forty
countries and his repertoire is wide-ranging. He has had a number of new
works written for him, has made numerous broadcasts and is currently
recording his latest CD for release in 2011. Passionate about music education,
David coaches members of the National Youth Wind Orchestra of GB and the
London Schools’ Symphony Orchestra. He is Artistic Director of International
Summer Schools in both Aberystwyth and Harrogate and has given master-classes
in many parts of the world. He is Chair of the Clarinet and Saxophone Society
of Great Britain and the International Clarinet Association. |

Janet Canetty-Clarke BMus, ARAM, GRSM, LRAM, ARCM – Choral and
Vocal – After completing her studies at the Royal Academy of Music, Janet was
appointed Assistant Music Mistress at Sutton High School, GDST. She now lives
in Sussex and lectures throughout the year for Continuing Education
Departments of London, Sussex and Cambridge Universities, for the WEA, U3A
and NADFAS, who have sent her across Europe, Australia and South Africa. She
was Musical Director and Conductor of the Ditchling Choral Society for 37
years and Guest Conductor of the First All Women Chamber Orchestra of Austria
for 15 years, giving concerts in Vienna. She is Deputy Secretary General of
“Femmes Maestros” in Brussels and has recently been invited to give
pre-performance talks for the Royal Opera House and to lecture on a Baltic
Cruise. |

Anne Harvey AGSM, LGSM – Speech
& Drama – trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and
subsequently ran a repertory theatre company, the Guildhall Players, in
Cornwall. After marriage and two children, Anne taught speech & drama for
many years, becoming an examiner for the Guildhall, the Poetry Society and
AEB, and an adjudicator for the British Federation of Festivals. She has been made a Friend of the
Federation and a Fellow of the Society of Teachers of Speech & Drama.
Anne has edited over 35 books of poetry and drama, winning the Signal Poetry
Award in 1992. She writes and broadcasts for BBC Radio and presents literary
programmes and readings for galleries, libraries and Arts Festivals. |

Melanie Ragge Hon.ARAM, M.Phil (Cantab), MA
(Cantab), Dip.RCM, LRAM – Winds - Though originally a medical student
(and piano pupil of Judith Burton), Melanie graduated with an MPhil in Musicology from King’s College
Cambridge, and studied oboe as a Leverhulme Fellow at the RCM with Michael
Winfield and Edwin Roxburgh. Her
musical passions lie in chamber music and education. As a founder member of
one of Britain’s foremost wind quintets, the New London Chamber Ensemble, her most recent CD features
Nielsen’s Wind & Piano Chamber Music. Nationally and internationally, she
has worked with leading artists including the Dante & Schidlof string
quartets, Angela Hewitt and Gerald Finlay. She is a Professor of Oboe at the
Royal Academy of Music and also teaches at the Purcell School of Music. |

Andrew Sherwood ARCM – Strings - has performed
in many parts of the world as conductor and violinist. Born and educated in
Africa, he then won a scholarship to study violin and composition at the
Royal College of Music. He is currently a Professor of Violin at Trinity
College of Music and also adjudicates in Britain and abroad. Besides being
principal conductor for the Brighton & Hove Music and Performing Arts
orchestral team, Andrew is Musical Director of the Musicians of All Saints,
Director of the Brighton University Choirs, Conductor of Somerset County
Youth Orchestra and principal conductor for European Youth Summer Music.
Forthcoming engagements include visits to Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka, Chile and
Scotland. |

Anthony Williams M.Mus, Dip.RAM,
GRSM, LRAM – Piano – has an active performing, teaching and adjudicating
career and has given numerous radio broadcasts and recitals around the world.
As a teacher he has established an international reputation, his pupils
achieving notable competition success and many going on to become
professional musicians. Having taught at the Royal Academy of Music and
Reading University, he is now Head of Keyboard and Instrumental Studies at
Radley College. He is a Senior Moderator (both jazz and classical), Trainer,
Examiner and CT Course Mentor for the ABRSM. He has presented workshops on
performance and pedagogy in the UK, China and S E Asia, written numerous
articles and books and has had several collections of teaching repertoire
published. He is President of Chipping Norton Music Festival. |
