Robert Bailey AGSM. LRAM - General Instrumental, Strings and Concerto – studied at the Guildhall School of Music. He has held principal positions at ENO, Birmingham Royal Ballet, and the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, and for four years was ‘cellist in the Delme Quartet with whom he broadcast many times on BBC Radio 3 and made several CD recordings. In addition to a busy performing schedule Robert is increasingly regarded as a conductor, appearing regularly with the Locrian Chamber Orchestra at St.Martin’s in the Fields. He has also introduced and conducted several concerts with the English National Orchestra and recently conducted two concerts with the Canberra Symphony Orchestra in Australia. Robert has taught ‘cello and has been a staff conductor at London’s Centre for Young Musicians. He examines for the ABRSM and has adjudicated at numerous festivals.

Colin Bradbury FRCM - Winds - made his début at the age of eighteen as soloist in the Mozart Clarinet Concerto at the Edinburgh Festival with the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain. He was for over thirty years Principal Clarinet of the BBC Symphony Orchestra, working with conductors from Boult to Boulez, and his many solo performances with the orchestra included the concertos of Debussy, Mozart, Weber and Nielsen at the Proms. With the pianist Oliver Davies, his performance and recording a host of hitherto little known works has led to an expansion of the clarinet repertoire. In the year 2006-7 he served as President of the Incorporated Society of Musicians.

Christopher Field  JP, MA, ARAM, LRAM, ARCM – Vocal - was a Choral Exhibitioner at Trinity College, Cambridge, a scholar at the Royal Academy of Music and later studied with Frederick Husler in Switzerland on an Arts Council of Great Britain scholarship before establishing himself as a concert baritone soloist. For many years he taught at Dulwich College, combining his duties there with singing, conducting, double bass playing and composing professionally. He retired as Deputy Master in 2000. An experienced festival adjudicator and ABRSM diploma examiner, he conducts the City of London Chamber Choir and was appointed an Associate of the RAM in 1993.

Ruth Gerald FRCM - Piano. Ruth’s career has always pursued a very wide path - solo and lecture recitals, concertos, chamber music, Lieder recitals, accompanying, adjudicating, examining and teaching.  She was born and educated in Australia.  After winning a scholarship to study for a Bachelor of Music degree at Adelaide University she continued with postgraduate studies at the Royal College of Music in London, where she was awarded many prizes, including the Hopkinson Gold Medal.  Following five years as Head of Keyboard Studies at the Birmingham School of Music, she returned to the RCM to become a Professor of Piano and Piano Accompaniment for over 30 years.  In 1985 she was elected a Fellow of the RCM and then from 1992 until 1999 was appointed Head of Keyboard Studies. She has given Master classes and seminars world-wide, is frequently invited to adjudicate at Festivals and is actively involved in many aspects of the work of the ABRSM.

Rebecca Lodge LRAM - Choral - is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, where she studied singing and piano, and received many prizes, including the Lloyds Bank Scholarship for postgraduate study on the Opera Course. Her career as singer and pianist has seen her perform in many different venues and styles and she has broadcast extensively on radio and television, producing a series of vocal tutorial videos for the BBC. As well as being a staff member of the BBC Singers, Rebecca is a highly sought after Musical Director, accompanist and choral workshop leader. Highlights include conducting 400 children at the Royal Albert Hall, leading 250 children at the Royal Festival Hall, appearing in the "Over the Rainbow" live events for BBC TV and leading workshops for last year’s “Choir of the Year” regional and final competitions. She is delighted to be returning to the Sutton Music Festival, having taken part many times herself!

Rosalind Rokison RBTC, LCST – Speech and Drama - trained at the Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama. She has taught drama to all age groups for over thirty years. Having been closely associated with Beckenham and Bromley Festival and the Sutton Music festival both as a performer and teacher for many years, she more recently helped to set up the new Croydon Festival. Rosalind is an actor, director and adjudicator.  Having played many of the leading Shakespearean roles she now directs some of the Open Air Shakespeare Productions for the National Trust at Polesden Lacey.  Rosalind also prepares students for entry to Drama College.
